LORDY, LORDY BOYD IS

Yes, it's true! Boyd turned 40 on Friday! He made it very clear to all that he was going to waterski on his birthday! So he & Steve headed out to the lake with Boyd's wetsuit! Then I started scrambling to finish up plans & arrangements for his surprise party!

Before we left for "dinner."

We told him we were going out to dinner & that we had to pick up Tim & Christy. Christy is notoriously late. So once we got there, it wasn't unusual that we had to go in and wait for her. Then...SURPRISE!

He was shocked! A group of his college buddies drove in from Austin & Houston. All of our friends from here were waiting inside. He didn't know what hit him.

True Confession: I'm not very good at keeping a secret. If you didn't already know that, don't tell me any. Really important stuff...I can keep to myself, but stuff like this are tough for me. I wanted to tell him. I can't buy gifts early, because I always want them opened as soon as we get home. So, with that said, I'm very proud of myself! I kept the secret & didn't tell blow it!
