Our trip to...

Back in September, my grandma passed away. She has a plot next to my grandpa in Tennessee. When she passed away, we decided to wait until this summer when the whole family from Texas and California could go to Tennessee to bury her ashes next to Grandpa. So...the road trip began. Two days,1000plus miles, lots of fighting, some sleeping (not enough), lots of gas station potties & we made it.

A few things saved us: DVD's (Nick Picks 1,2 & 3), a large variety of snacks, towels used as blankets as well as towels, a paper towel roll used as lumbar support for me (as well as for their original intended use) & Bakugan (google them, boys love them).
I hope to post pictures over the next couple of days of all the wonderful things that we were so lucky to do & of the amazing cabin that my parents rented for everyone in the Smoky Mountains.
Although our reason for going to Tennessee was a sad one, once we were all there some amazing things happened. Our family bonded like never before. I think Grandma planned it that way.
