Not a Great Way to Start the Summer!
Josh broke his arm at his friend's birthday party. He fell out of the tree house. I think he really jumped out to get away from some water balloons. Luckily it's a water-proof cast.

Sea World!

Memaw, Pepaw, Chance, Dane, Shannon & Christopher came into town & we all went to Seaworld! (l to r: Boyd Sr, Chance, Boyd Jr., Dane, Josh, Will, Shannon, Christopher, Memaw & Justin!) Chance & Dane are Christopher's big brothers. It's rare that they all get to see eachother, so this was a special day. Memaw & Pepaw live in Beijing right now & are visiting the states for a couple weeks. We are hoping to go visit them in August for the Olympics. We're still working on it though.

Justin & Christopher were big enough to ride this one alone!

This is my personal favorite thing to do at SeaWorld. I love the dolphins. I don't even care that you have to pay $5 for three fish. I'd rather feed them than the kids! I'm just kidding of course. The kids must eat too. At least they're cheaper.

I was taking stuff off the mantle to hang up the stockings. I put Boyd's Chinese sword on the table until I could put it away.
Will- Mom, what does Dad use this sword for? Is it for his battles?

Justin- Mom, do you know where we went today?
Me- Yes Justin. I do! You went to Snake Tunnel!
Justin- How do you know that? (pause, think, think) It's because you're a Knower aren't you?

Will- Mom, Have you ever seen a real Humpty Dumpty? 9/25
Will was sick last week.
Me- Will, how do you feel?
Will- (pats himself all over) I feel a little bit like me. 9/4/09
Boyd was changing out of his suit & took off his shoes.
Will- Dad, I didn't know you had feet! I thought your shoes were glued on! 8/25/09
Justin- Mom, a few whiles ago, when we were in the car I counted to 200! 8/18/09
Will- Damn it!
Me- Will don't say that! They aren't nice words!

Will- Mom, did you know that you can see with your eyes, but you can't see your eyes? 7/30/09
Justin- Nana! We got to go to Scoopy's & eat ice cream!
Nana- You did?!
Justin- Whispers to me- Mom, whenever I tell her something special, she says "you did?" 5/24/09

Will- Are there sharks out there?
Me-Yes, probably.
Will- I'll just toot in the ocean & they won't want to eat me. 5/23/09
Justin and Will were walking past one of our wedding pictures. Will- Mom looks like a princess.
Justin- Dad looks like a prince.
Will- Why are they wearing those costumes?

Justin got in trouble. Will came in and asked me, "Why did you make my bubber cry? That's it. Don't ever do that again!" 1/12/09
Justin- "Mom, don't you just wish Indiana Jones was real? I do." 1/11/09
Me- "Justin, We have to run an errand before we go over to Audrey's house."
Justin- "Who is errand and why do we have to run?" 12/14/08
Justin to Josh: "Josh, when Aunt Shannon was here, I got to watch Gremlins (the movie). I watched the whole thing!"
Josh- "Really? No fair. Was it scary?"
Justin- "Oh yeah, it was really scary."
Me- "What? She let you watch it? Were you scared?"
Justin- "No Mom it wasn't scary at all." 11/30/08
Right after we arrived in China Josh said to Boyd, "Dad, am I what you call an international traveler now?"
B- "Yeah Josh, I guess you are."
J- "Where are we going next? I'd like to go to Australia"

At Justin's t-ball game yesterday he ran over to the fence on his way up to bat & said to Boyd, "Dad, I'm going to hit a grand slam and make you proud."
B- "Justin, I'm already proud of you!"
J- "No Dad, I'm going to make you REALLY proud of me!" 11/15/08
On the way home from school today:
Justin- "You know Mom, Jesus is invisible and lives in our hearts. He's going home with us right now. When we get home, He's going to live on our carpet."
I better have it cleaned!! 11/11/08
Boyd picked up the boys from school yesterday.
Boyd- "Will, did you have a good day at school?"
Will- "Yeah- except Samuel punched me in the eye?"
B- "Are you okay? Did you cry?"
W- "No, I didn't cry... But Samuel cried like a baby when I punched him back!" 11/6/08
While putting the boys to bed:
Justin- "Mom, Where's dad?"
Me- "He's out of town. He's in a hotel in Laredo."
Will- "Is he not our friend anymore?"
Josh- "WI-LL... He's our dad!"
Justin- "Mom, who are you married to?"
Me- "Boyd Lunsford"
J- "Huh?"...Pause think Pause think...."You're married to Dad?"
Me- "Yep."
J- "That's so weird!"
Me- "Yep, he's pretty weird."
Will walked in & told Boyd, "Daddy I need an iphone just like yours." Boyd got his old flip phone out, charged it up & gave it to him.
Will proudly came in to me & said, "Look Mom, Dad gave me an iphone!"
I said, "Wow Will! I don't even have an iphone!"
Will said, "I'll call Santa Claus." He opened the phone and said, "Hello Santa, Mom needs an iphone like me. Okay? Tanks. Bye."
He then said to me, "Mom, Santa is going to bring you an iphone."
I hope he does. I just hope he pays the bill too.
Justin has a scab fall off his knee at school that started bleeding. He told me about it on the way home with great dramatic description. I asked him if his teacher put a bandaid on it. He said, "No, but we put a tennis shoe on it."
I said, "What?!"
He said, "You know the things you wipe your nose with."
I said, "OH, you mean a tissue!!"
I told Will this morning that he was a good helper. He then said, "I'm going to put my boots on then I'm going to help you get me a gumball."
Will came downstairs last night after I had already put him to bed and said, "I need some bacon. Can you go make me some?"
At dinner tonight...Josh asked Justin, "Justin, do these beans taste like poop or puke?" Justin answered, "poop... definitely poop." Boys...
Will asked me last night when I was putting him in bed where Poppa went. (I'm sure he has overheard us talking a lot about Poppa in heaven) I told him that he got really sick and he had to go to heaven to be with Jesus to get better. He then asked, "Does Jesus have the bandaids?"
Of course He does.
Yesterday while driving to the hospital I gave Justin a piece of gum. He started yelling a couple seconds later that it was hot & for me to open the window. I thought he wanted to throw it out. I know I shouldn't let him throw stuff out the window, but we were on the freeway & his mouth was hot... So I turn to look at him & he has his mouth wide open & he's leaning as far as he could toward it. I asked him what he was doing & he said, "I'm trying to cool it off!"
Just overheard.
Will to Justin: Why are you wearing that cape?
Justin: So I can fly.
Will: oh.
Mom asked Justin how many sausage links she should make for breakfast. He said, "89, that way everyone can have 3."
(He definitely has my math skills)
While leaving our home away from home yesterday (Costco) a storm was rolling in. Boyd told Justin to hurry up because there was thunder & lightning. Justin then told Will that if you get struck by lightning you have to go to God to get fixed.
Justin wiped something on my leg that looked eerily like a booger. After I freaked out - he looked at it & said, "Mom, that's just a piece of a kiss!"
At dinner tonight Boyd, Josh & I were talking about China. Boyd told Josh how you have to ask for ice in your drink because in most other countries they don't serve ice like we do here in America. Josh said, "Why not? Haven't they discovered the power of coldness?"
Coldness has a lot of power. We should tell them.
Will put on a superman costume last night & started to go outside. Boyd stopped him and asked him where he was going. He said, "I am superman, I have to go fly."
SCARY!!!
Will started antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection yesterday. I gave it to him & he spit it out & said, "that's ba-scusting. It throws me up."
Last night while getting Justin dressed for bed, I suggested he put on his reindeer pajamas. He said, "No way, those aren't fighting clothes! I want Power Ranger pajamas. They have power!"
Josh started VBS today & was telling me about it on the way home. He was telling me about how one of his friends is "the class clown." Justin, who is not old enought to go yet, looked at us very seriously & said, "We don't have any clowns at my school." Thank God. That would be creepy.
This actually just came out of MY mouth. I meant it too:
"No Will, you can not wear a Spiderman shirt over the long sleeved Power Ranger Pajama top. The superheros will fight all day long & you will have a bad day."
